Travel + Leisure Co. acquires Yes& Vacations and Spinnaker Resorts for $343 million

Travel + Leisure Co. has acquired Yes& Vacations and separately reached an agreement to acquire Spinnaker Resorts, with the two deals totaling $343 million, announced Wednesday. The Spinnaker transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.

The two acquisitions will add 100,000 owners and 23 resorts to Travel + Leisure Co.'s vacation ownership network, spanning Maui, Hawaii, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

"Acquiring these companies strategically expands our presence in top leisure destinations, adding premium inventory in markets where new development is constrained," said Michael Brown, President and CEO of Travel + Leisure Co. He added that this provides a "meaningful opportunity" for the company to generate incremental revenue within the vacation ownership ecosystem.

Spire Hospitality names new CEO

Irving, Texas-based Spire Hospitality has appointed Richard Sandoval as CEO, announced Tuesday. Sandoval will lead the company into its next phase, focusing on "operational performance, data-driven decision-making, and AI-enabled innovation."

"As technology and AI reshape the hospitality industry, we will continue to find ways to leverage data and innovation to enhance performance and support our teams," Sandoval said in a statement.

Sandoval joined Spire in 2014, succeeding Chris Russell, who served as CEO for eight years. Russell will continue as a senior advisor to the company during the transition.

Peregrine Hospitality expands Napa Valley management portfolio

Peregrine Hospitality has added the 80-room Hotel Yountville and the 65-room Bardessono Hotel & Spa to its management portfolio, expanding the company's presence in California's picturesque Napa Valley, announced Wednesday.

Both hotels are located in Yountville, a wine and culinary destination in the heart of Napa Valley. The vineyard-themed Hotel Yountville offers a full-service spa, outdoor pool, and hot tub; while the all-suite, wellness-focused Bardessono Hotel & Spa features a rooftop pool, in-room spa services, and complimentary bicycles.

The additions come as Peregrine expands its footprint in Northern California, following its acquisition of The Lodge at Tiburon in Tiburon and Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos in March.
