G6 Hospitality CEO Sonal Sinha has stepped down, according to a press release from the parent company of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands. Sinha took the role in 2024, when travel and hospitality company OYO acquired G6 Hospitality for $525 million. G6 is also part of OYO's parent company Prism (formerly Oravel Stays, renamed in September 2025). In early 2026, Prism launched the premium brand Belvilla District 6 by acquiring 10 former Sonder properties.

The press release said that during Sinha's tenure, he "played a key role in guiding the company through a critical period of integration and stabilization, helping to lay a solid operational foundation on which G6 will pursue its next phase of growth."

Sinha will continue to support the business during the transition period and plans to remain involved in an advisory capacity. The company did not disclose any information about a successor or interim CEO.

Additionally, G6 promoted Nikhil Heda to Head of G6 Hospitality U.S., while Anuj Ladha expanded to National Head of Brand Performance. G6 said these appointments will support the company's growth in the U.S., "as it expands across economy, midscale, and upscale segments."

As Head of U.S., Heda will be responsible for G6's growth agenda, including franchise expansion, strategic partnerships, and development initiatives. Meanwhile, Ladha will continue to strengthen franchisee engagement, brand performance, and operational excellence, according to the press release.

"Nikhil knows our U.S. business; he has built it market by market over the years," G6 Vice Chairman and Prism Global COO Ankit Tandon said in a statement. "Anuj manages brand performance nationally and knows how to support owners on the ground. Together, they step into their roles with a clear mission to deepen franchisee partnerships and grow the brands nationwide."

Regarding Sinha's departure, Tandon added: "Sonal leaves the company stronger and well-prepared for the next phase, and we are grateful for that. He leaves behind a stronger organization, ready for future growth."

The management change comes after G6 launched Studio 6 Plus in April to expand its extended-stay offerings. Studio 6 Plus focuses on the upper economy segment, and according to G6, the brand "continues to gain traction with owners and developers."

Looking ahead, G6 said it plans to launch new midscale and upscale boutique offerings, "building a multi-segment platform designed to serve guests, owners, and developers across the board."
